CS 1.6 Season 12 Registration - January 3rd Deadline

On behalf of everyone here at CEVO, I'd like to welcome you to CEVO CS Season 12. Please read this post carefully for match deadlines and map rotations.

With that said, Preseason for CEVO-OPEN / MAIN / Professional will still begin as scheduled with the first matches being played Monday January 11th & Thursday January 14th. CEVO-FREE Preseason will Start Thursday, January 14th. As stated below, team rosters will remain open for the duration of the preseason for any teams that may still need to make changes. And remember our CEVO-Free division is 100% FREE.

If you are new to CEVO you will need to download and install the CMN3. You must be running the CMN3 during all matches. You can download the CMN3 here: http://cevo.com/index.php?page=account&func=cmn.

Also, please make sure that you have the updated server configs uploaded to your private servers, there have been a few changes over the past few seasons. You can download the updated server configs here: http://www.cevo.com/FILES/cs16_configs.zip.

Preseason 1 - de_concrete2

Week 1 - de_dust2
Week 2 - de_russka
Week 3 - de_inferno
Week 4 - de_tuscan
Week 5 - de_nuke
Week 6 - de_forge
Week 7 - de_train
Week 8 - de_dust2

OOW - TBA

OOW (Out of Week) makeup matches are scheduled when two teams need makeups from different weeks and have no one to play against that has a FF on the same map. Teams that are scheduled OOW matches throughout the season are allowed to play on any map that the two teams can agree on. If the two teams cannot agree on a specific map, then de_inferno will be used.

NOTE: The flashbug fix map pack must be installed on any server used for matches. You can find the pack as well as any of our own custom maps in the downloads section of the website.


Roster Locks:

Rosters will remain open all throughout the preseason until Sunday, January 17th, 2010. After the regular season begins, rosters will be open every week from 12:00 AM Friday - 11:59 PM Sunday. Remember, any time the rosters are locked we will NOT move you from one roster to another UNLESS your opponent(s) approve.


Rule Change - Crouch Hopping LEGAL:

Please make note of our most recent rule change. Effective immediately, the act of crouch hopping is now legal.

With that said, it is now illegal to bind "+duck" or "crouch" to your mousewheel. Players that are found to be in violation of this rule will have rounds from their matches overturned in accordance with our rules.

The act of continuous crouch hopping is now LEGAL so long as "+duck" or "crouch" is NOT bound to your mousewheel. Players that are found to be in violation of this rule will have rounds from their matches overturned in accordance with this rule.

NOTE: CEVO's Open division is an "OPEN" division, meaning any team can join. You are not required to go through Free to make CEVO-Open. Playing in our Open division includes many bonuses that are not available to Free teams, including:

• $1,500 in cash and prizes paid out to the top 6 teams (CEVO-Free is next season's paid entry)
• UNLIMITED disputes (CEVO-Free is limited to 5 total players dispute per season)
• FREE 6-slot NationVoice Ventrilo server, or $10 off ANY NationVoice package
• FREE game server rentals on match nights (CEVO-FREE teams must provide their own servers)
• A much higher chance of making Main in future seasons, whether by application or automatic move-up
